I love it when people in positions of real power demonstrate the tact and decorum I’ve come to expect from reality show participants.*

While I’m complaining about things: this has been annoying me all day. This embarrassing behavior. You’re one of the president’s closest advisers and you cash in on a fucking meme in front of the press corps? To make fun of Sarah Palin? Why? There’s a sizable portion of the internet devoted to making fun of Sarah Palin, I really don’t need that shit from this smug ass press secretary.
I think it’s a tactful joke that’s actually pretty funny. Of all the different times that people in the Obama Administration could take pot shots at Palin, they almost never do. They pass up perfectly good opportunities to maintain being the bigger person (or in this case, group of people). But every once in awhile, a little bit of humor doesn’t hurt.
If Palin didn’t spend every single day trying to be someone she’s incapable of being, she wouldn’t have a sizable portion of the internet making fun of her. Until she was brought into the candidacy for a position she was clearly not responsible enough to lead in, nobody knew who she was. Ever since she started trying to be the filthiest, slimiest politician around, she’s deserved a good number of the jokes that have been made at her expense. If she stopped trying to make people believe she’d be capable of running the country and that she’d do a better job than everyone else, she’d be subject to a lot less ridicule.
