New social networking rule
No one, under any circumstances, for any reason, is ever obligated to defend his or her “following” list to anybody.*
*Especially people who aren’t on it.
I agree 100% with this. Every so often someone will get upset that I’m not following them. They don’t seem to like when instead of defending the list of people I do follow, I just tell them they aren’t interesting to me.
That’s usually when conversation with them stops, I go on with my life, and feel not really all that bad.
