I bought a new computer, and some crappy customer service rep resold me $235.84 worth of my music collection back to me. It felt like having the clothes off of my back resold to me while I was wearing, and then someone screamed in my ear for three hours guilt tripping me afterwards.

Two data recovery places responded already. Both want $1k+ for recovery. Part of me wants to recover it all, another part wants to buy a new music library; both are in denial of the worth of how much money I’m actually talking about.

Yesterday I broke up with my girlfriend, then today my hard drive fries. Time for what I can only assume will be a several hundred dollar recovery process.
